Virus Alert !!! Its really bad out there right now. There are some really nasty viruses on the internet. You can not even connect your computer to the internet without someone trying to get on your machine. Virus and Malware protection is a must for every machine connecting to the internet. Microsoft is aware of these issues and is working very hard to combat these problems. The bad thing is that new malware is being developed very quickly. As soon as a fix for one is developed a new variant is released. Most protection software is just being turned off by these malware programs. New tools for IT professionals have been developed and we will continue to work to make the internet and computing as safe as possible. We have a vested interest in making computing an enjoyable experience.

Some of the products the hackers are attacking are: Adobe Reader-Adobe Air-GetAdobe-Adobe.com-Quicktime-Realplayer-MyWebSearch-Java-HP Quicklaunch-Itunes-Macro Media Flash- Adobe Flash-Roxio. They use entry points that these programs use to provide your computer with information. Hackers believe that if you left the door open they should just come on in. PCfix knows all their games. Damage is often done by these hackers and information may be lost. Let PCfix set you up so that problems like this will be recoverable. An ounce of precaution is worth a pound of cure

LimeWire This program is a Peer to Peer (P2P) Sharing program that  people are using to connect to other

computers to download free music and files. This allows your computer to connect to other computers

on the internet that might not be protected with virus and spyware programs. These viruses will travel

to your computer and do all kinds of damage to your files and computer. PCfix works on about seven

infected machines a day. Some of the time your operating system can not be fixed. A complete reinstall

is usually needed to get back the function of your computer again. Sometime all is lost.

DO NOT USE FILE SHARING PROGRAMS. If you want music you will need to PAY FOR IT. These programs charge a fee

but they do not harm your computer like P2P programs do. Don't be fooled by their claims for security. Connecting to other

computers over the internet will damage all your information.

Use Virus & Spyware Protection. Viruses are not the only thing that will harm your computer on the

internet these days. You need both Virus and Spyware protection. These free programs on the internet are

NOT protection enough. You need to purchase these programs for a fee to get good results. They are like

getting a flu shot. You might still get the flu (Virus) but you are usually able to recover from it. Virus programs don't always work. We are constantly trying

new products and old ones to see who is fighting the battle the best.  I wish it was easier, but it is not. Bare with us as we try to provide our customers with

the best solutions. We are here for the long run. Just ask our customer!

Updates to programs are usually designed to patch holes in the security of that program.   Companies are fighting hard to keep out hackers. These hackers are causing these companies to constantly upgrade their software to protect their products.

Worst Offenders so far:

1. Coupons For Windows-allows hackers into your computer

2. Facebook-Apps and photo downloader programs installed from Facebook allow attackers into your computer.

3.Java & Adobe-older versions on your computer have been hacked to inter your computer. Remove all of them and download the newest versions for free online.

4. Remote Access Software-LogMeIn, Teamviewer, GoToMeeting, etc. Programs that allow legitimate connections from one pc to another are being hacked.

5. Poker and Adult Free Websites-There is nothing free on the net. It will cost you eventually.  Hackers hang out at these sites and even post material that is designed to infect your computer. Sites are warning you about questionable material. Please take a minute to read these disclaimers that most people just CLICK OFF.
